Wow

Posted by on May 1, 2011

Wowhas been spilling out of my mouth and rolling through my head for the last hour or so since we heard over the radio that Osamabin Laden was killed by American forces based on intelligence from Pakistan.  I was thankful to hear that the body is in our possession, hopefully the DNA tests will prove what has just occurred.

What will the next few days hold?  Predictions of the end of the world?  We’ve had a spate of those aready for the last few years.  Threats that America will be attacked?  We’ve heard that as well, pretty much since 2001.

So aside from my fervent hoping and praying that this will bring an end to our troops being in Afganistan and Iraq, (it was after all why we were there correct?) tomorrow will bring a rainy day inside the green house potting and seeding, out in the Market Garden prepping beds and a few breaks inside for planning hoop houses.

Morning Lanny! We were stunned to hear the news last night also. I cannot imagine the bravery of the 36 Navy seals who carried out this operation.

We’ve had just the right amount of rain and sun to make our plants grow well. My new Vitex bushes are beginning to form their buds.

Hope you and Bet have a great week.

Almost can’t comment on this – first words out of our mouths were “if it is true” – how sad we’ve become jaded about truth telling in our government – but that IS the truth from us. Hope you get a let up in the rain – we are gratefully accepting the blessing of heavy rains for a day.

Yes..bring all the troops home..but you know war is big business..so I doubt that will ever happen. if it ain’t one thing or another…I think Obama is being given way too much credit..it was the Servicemen and Women that risked their lives to take down bin Laden. I am wondering how much influence did this man have over his people..I wonder what will happen next..it makes me uneasy. Of course I live in the sticks..not much will happen here:)
