I Ran a Test

Posted by on April 18, 2010

In case you didn’t catch it, I’ve been feelin’ lousy, so I guess I hope you didn’t.

I’ve been coffin’ and wheezen’ up a storm for a couple of weeks now. I couldn’t tell if it was a real life cold, knew some folks who had one, or just allergies. So I tried my darnedest to give it to those closest to me, Dirt, EBet, Anna Coleen. And nothin’ nobody has so much as sneezed.

Test over. Now for the cure.

And because I am a bit preoccupied (with spring) and already feeling super lousy (with spring) and can barely get my regular work half done, nah, lets say I’m getting about a quarter done and that would be generous, well then Dear Reader I’m ditching my hippy and I’m reachin’ for the quick and mainstream chemical cures. Seventeen bucks for forty days of breathing, works for me. Even as we speak it’s workin’, I can actually breathe and I think I might get to sleep not sitting upright tonight!

Live Writer, my new favorite way to prep my posts no longer works for me, unless I want my posts to be three sentences long. Uhhhh that’s what I have FaceBook for (and why I secretly hate it). So… I may be goin’ Word Press, we’ll see. But I think I need a degree in something or perhaps this process will give me a degree or two, of increased body temperature, it doesn’t appear so easy as blogger, hope that means it is more reliable.

I understand the ditching hippy and going for nuclear warfare level western medicine – we are dancing along that razor's edge ourselves – trying a dash of this and two tablets of that – glad you are breathing it is so very important to a successful life.

Hi Lanny, Hope you got a nebulizer or something to help..maybe you need some horse pills from the RD ( Real Doctor)..you have been sick for a bit now..I am concerned..not worried but concerned.
Maybe your live writer is just on the fritz for a little bit..kinda like you.
I hope you can rest..that is a key to getting better:)

Lanny, sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope the mainstream cures do the trick for you and you are soon feeling much better.

    ok, ok, ok……… I'm home!!! ha ha…
So wordpress. Still not totally convinced about it. But I've always likes sticking to what I know when it comes to things like this. It will probably take me awhile to feel comfortable with wordpress.
Still trying to figure some things out too. Like if wordpress has a way to have a blog list. So in the meantime, I'm still going to my blogspot blog to read through my blog reading list.

    some things I like better:
I like the dashboard on wordpress. I was a bit overwhelmed at first but after playing around there a little, I think I have it figured out. I like the Stats section where you can see how many views have been on your posts.
I also seem to be able to post pictures quicker on wordpress. I like how I click on "insert into post" and it goes right where my cursor is. I was always frustrated at blogspot when I tried to add photos. The link icon seems to be quicker for me too.
As for changing your font, I believe if you click on Appearance from the dashboard, you have font options. Not sure.

I still have alot to figure out on wordpress. It is more detailed and has more options.

I didn't transfer my whole blog over. That freaked me out! I was afraid I'd really screw things up by doing that.

Have no clue what Readomattic, Tag Surfer, and some of the other things on the right side are. Let me know if you figure those out.
Maybe we can help each other with all this computer-technical-bloggy stuff?

Glad you're feeling better. I am staying with blogger – don't want to have to "learn" that other stuff. But. . .whatever works.
